Four musicians needed to participate in a play-in rehearsal alongside Pittsburgh CAPA orchestra students and lead sectionals: one or more strings, woodwind (flute or clarinet preferred), brass (trumpet or trombone preferred), and percussion. Coaches will be seated within the ensemble, rehearse side-by-side students, and offer feedback and advice to students in their section throughout the rehearsal. Sectionals (strings, winds, brass, percussion) immediately follow full rehearsal. Requested areas of emphasis for this group are rhythm and dynamics. The ensemble meets over two class periods: grades 10-12 meet first (10:26-11:15 a.m.), followed by grade 9 (11:15-12:00). Coaches will work with both class periods so that all members of the Wind Ensemble receive coaching.
